Hockey: UQTR to add six players?

Over on HF Boards, someone named “Dutch”, who appears to be affiliated with CFOU 89.1 FM Sports, says that UQTR is looking to add six players at Christmas.

- F Félix Petit (Quebec & Baie-Comeau, QMJHL; Cincinnati, ECHL). 288 points in the Q.
- F Gabriel Balasecu (Rimouski, Sherbrooke & Lewiston, QMJHL; UQTR in 2004-05; St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, Trois-Rivieres & Pont Rouge, LNAH). 119 points & 538 PIM in the Q.
- F Jean-Philippe Roy-Vallieres (Baie-Comeau, Saint John & Chicoutimi, QMJHL; College St. Lawrence & Quebec; QJAHL; St. Georges, LNAH). Looks to be less of an impact player.
- D Maxime Fréchette (Drummondville & Acadie-Bathurst; QMJHL). 6'5" and selected by Columbus Blue Jackets in the fifth round (142nd overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
- D Alex Lamontagne (Acadie-Bathurst, Baie-Comeau, Cape Breton & Gatineau, QJMHL; Flin Flon, SJHL; Muskegon & Flint, IHL). Well travelled 6'4" d-man.
- D Pierre-Luc Lessard (Gatineau, PEI and Baie-Comeau, QMJHL; Bakersfield, ECHL). 176 points in the Q and 52 in his last year.

UQTR has a recent history of losing potential recruits to the LNAH, that "semi-pro" league better known outside of Quebec for their brawls on YouTube than good hockey, so it great to see coach Jacques Laporte getting some of those players back.
