McMaster's rookie post player Ryan Christie missed a second consecutive game during the Marauders' 81-68 win in Sudbury on Friday night.
The 6-foot-8 Christie is an undeniable talent, but he sat out last Saturday vs. Ryerson due to what coach Joe Raso described to the Hamilton Spectator last weekend as "some internal stuff ... The ball is in his court."
It would not do to speculate — that's where miscommunications happen — but it did impact McMaster (13-1, 4-1 OUA) slightly on Friday. The Marauders beat Laurentian 81-68, but were down for much of the first half and needed an 11-0 second-quarter run and a 14-1 spurt to start the third quarter to put away the Voyageurs.
