Hockey: Sorochan officially a Falcon

The Springfield Falcons have signed goaltender Aaron Sorochan to a one-year deal.

Sorochan, who was a four-year standout at Alberta, has been with the Falcons since they opened training camp September 19th, but has missed preseason action with kidney stones. Sorochan has since recovered and has been skating with the team. He will be in the lineup Saturday night when the Falcons open their regular season schedule against the Portland Pirates. Sorochan will backup returning netminder, and former Kamloops Blazer Devan Dubnyk this season.

While at Alberta, Sorochan led the Bears to two National titles, and led the Canada West last season in GAA, Wins, and SV% as he led the Bears to the Canada West title.
