Football: Gaiters' Lee close to becoming a B.C. Lion

B.C. Lions coach Wally Buono is at least publicly distancing himself from the notion of turning Bishop's star Jamall Lee into a slotback:
" 'He could be the next Russ Jackson,' said Buono, referring to the Canadian-born player who was switched from defensive back to quarterback and led the Ottawa Rough Riders to three Grey Cup victories in the 1960s.

" 'We'd get him ready,' Buono said of Lee. 'He gives you options and we would like to examine all of them.' "
Lee could yet play for the Lions this season, according to reports.
