Men's hockey: Carleton tops nationally ranked Clarkson

Missed this Saturday night (there were loser rants to write), but Carleton took out Clarkson, ranked No. 15 in NCAA Division 1, in an exhibition game in upstate New York. It was the first time any Canadian team won on Clarkson's ice.

The Golden Knights rested some of their regulars, but that was off-set somewhat by Carleton being banged-up. They finished their previous game, a home loss to RMC on Oct. 25, with just four able-bodied defencemen. The Ravens came from behind twice in the final period, scoring three goals in the final four minutes, including Justin Caruana's game-tying goal with 3:28 left and the winner from Brandon MacLean less than a minute later.

McGill is slow out of the gate this season, but with Carleton, UQTR clearly has some competition for that OUA East berth in the University Cup.
