Hockey: Mike Danton Meets the Media

The Chronicle-Herald's Marty Mosher has the story on Mike Danton's first press conference, late this morning at Saint Mary's. Lots of good quips and quotes, so just follow the link:
Danton: I'm a Student First

The TSN website has the Canadian Press story from the short press conference (less than 30 minutes). For those wondering when he'll be in the Huskies line-up:
"[SMU hockey head coach Trevor] Stienburg said Danton was not in game shape and it will be a while before he gets to play, even though he's got a strong work ethic.

" 'He's skated once with us. He doesn't deserve to be in the lineup right now,' said Stienburg, whose ninth-ranked CIS squad has two games this weekend.

" 'Yeah, he's an ex-NHLer, but he's an ex-NHLer who hasn't played in six years.' "
