Please let Mark Wacyk of cishoops.ca know you're thinking of him.
Mark, the country's foremost university hoops chronicler, posted on Christmas Day, "Best wishes for a healthy, happy and prosperous Holiday season to all. I had a coronary issue this past Monday (Dec. 21), am home now and feeling much better. Best of luck to everyone for the remainder of the season."
Mark moderates the comments on cishoops.ca. It might be a pleasant surprise if he sees he has a bunch of supportive comments to approve once he is up to it. Get well soon, Mark.
JERRY: I know what this is. You saw that show on PBS last night, "Coronary Country". (To Elaine) I saw it in the TV Guide. I called him and told him to make sure and not watch it.
ReplyDeleteGEORGE: There was nothing else on. Oh, the left arm...the left arm.
JERRY: (To Elaine) He saw that show on anorexia last year and ate like an animal for two weeks.
I get the feeling that it's going to be a long while before Mark resumes his blogging, if ever.
ReplyDeleteAlthough he didn't really say it, Mark's last sentence in his last message is telling:
"Best of luck to everyone for the remainder of the season"
Sounds like Mark is signing off for the remainder of this year at least.
I guess Mark is under strict doctor's orders to take it easy and rest.
If that's the case, then its too bad for the canadian basketball community.
With Bob Adams calling a day and now with Mark and his health issues, it's a nasty one-two punch for sure.
But one's well being must be the first priority and hopefully Mark will completely recover.
It's going to be very difficult to follow University basketball across the country without Marks evaluation of teams and updates. Get well soon
