Basketball: Big matchups ahead despite light week in the Q

There are only three games on each the men's and women's side of the Quebec conference, but all have playoff implications.

Saturday - Laval @ Bishop's

Bishop's and Concordia are currently tied with 8 points (4-9 Concordia, 4-6 Bishop's) for the final playoff spot on both the men's and women's side but the Gaiters have three games in hand, two of which come this weekend.

On the men's side, UQAM (8-4) has a slim two point lead on both Laval (7-5) and McGill (7-6), with all three teams in action this weekend. McGill has played one more game than their two rivals, however.

On the women's side, Laval at 10-2 is running away with the conference. Tied for the second home-court spot is UQAM (6-6) and McGill (6-7) at 6 wins (McGill with one more game played) and Bishop's (4-6) and Concordia (4-9) with 8 points each.
