Simon Fraser's Laurelle Weigl and UBC's Leanne Evans are down in Brazil with Canada's women's basketball team at the FIBA Americas qualifier with begins next Wednesday.
Canada played Brazil tough in a one-point (69-68) exhibition loss. That's being written not knowing how Brazil approached the game, but nothing bad comes out of playing a game which is competitive for the entire 40 minutes.
