For McGill specifically, their und...Nice post Rob.<br /><br />For McGill specifically, their undisciplined play didn't get them in too much trouble during the regular season, as they had the best PK in the OUA. But come Nationals it killed them -- they were shorthanded 14 times in two games, and squandered leads in both games due to boneheaded penalties. Penalties hurt them earlier in the playoffs as well, as I think Carleton went 4-for-6 on the powerplay in McGill's only OUA playoff loss.<br /><br />Anyways, I guess my point is that undisciplined play carries over into the playoffs -- it's difficult to just "switch it off." And once your PK is faced with matching up against elite teams every game, even the best units can struggle.<br /><br />Doubt we'll see the Redmen high on the list this year though -- regression to the mean, a new coach, plus the exit of Yan Turcotte (who seemed to take a penalty every game) should help.Matt Chesserhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10155922973592188016noreply@blogger.com
