Football: Gee-Gees, Golden Hawks picked for University Rush telecast

The Score loves the Golden Hawks: The Oct. 3 Ottawa-Laurier game has been added to the University Rush schedule, giving Gary Jeffries' team its third appearance in a span of five weeks.

It would also be the first of the season for the Gee-Gees. The Score aired Ottawa-Laurier regular-season games in 2006 and '08 and both were good ones, including a one-point Golden Hawks win in the nation's captain last fall.

Waterloo-Laurier airs tomorrow and Western-Guelph is the Sept. 26 game. The Score is not airing a game on Oct. 10 (Queen's-Waterloo and Windsor-Laurier are the only games that day). It is also keeping its options open for the final two Saturdays of the regular season. Western-Queen's will surely be the most-talked-about game the week of Oct. 17. Queen's-Laurier and Guelph-McMaster are good options for the final week, pending the playoff scenarios.

  1. Is Warrior Football ever must-see TV? 1999 is an awful long time ago.
